Had a recent survey that was low on respondents and needed a lift. There was little time (days) before closing so I recommended a subscription email list rental. “An epic fail!” as my son would say. Other regular emails to past respondents was only producing a 1% but still, you’d think a subscription list from a nationally know and well respected publication would get a much better response rate.

Anyway, I’m checking the data, asking the publication what might have produced a better response rate – creative, better headline, offer, what. Every failure is a great opportunity to learn.
